First, we'd like to say a big congratulations to Thrifting Atlanta for being our opening feature on Positive Hustle of the week. When we say Thrifting Atlanta we have to acknowledge the woman behind it all,

Keren Charles♥

39 and still looking flawless. Keren Charles, a beautiful and educated marketing and communications manager is the founder of Thrifting Atlanta.

Yes I said it!
A communications manager is over a growing thrifting website!

What started in 2012 as a social network for thrifting lovers and newbies, resale business owners and "thrifting" fashion bloggers became something bigger. Thrifting Atlanta is now a resource for thrifting lovers and those who wish to learn more about thrift shopping in Atlanta. It provides an online directory and exclusive discounts for members when they shop with Thrifting Atlanta's very own tote bags. Through bus tours, pop-up shops, annual Thrifting Atlanta Fashion Weeks, and their Facebook page, it is easy for Keren to help spread the joy and art of thrifting in the city we affectionately call home:

A T L A N T A !

What does fashion means to me?

"Fashion provides the means for you to express yourself. The key is knowing how to choose and style the pieces that complement you, your personality and lifestyle" - Keren Charles.

Keren describes her style as classic, feminine and effortless. She enjoys shopping at her favorite thrift stores, Goodwill and Park Avenue Thrift.

The most important statement items she thinks everyone should look for while thrifting are...

Sequin Vintage dresses:

Keren's version of a "Little Black Dress." A black tulle vintage petticoat and a trendy sequin dress. One of her favorite glammed up looks!

High end designer handbag and jeans:

Keren was lucky to score this Louis Vuitton Leather bucket bag from Goodwill at Johns Creek for UNDER $5 !

Even with the success of Thrifting Atlanta, the one thing that Keren wished she would have known was to just focus on a target niche when she was first starting her website. She overworked herself by trying to do all of her brilliant ideas all at once, but during that time she remained positive by being spiritually minded. She made sure she was pleasing god with everything she said or did. With that she achieved such a positive outcome!

I leave you with this quote:

"The grave yard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled."- Les Brown

Just like motivational speaker Les Brown states in his quote, Karen believes that you should never lose sight of your dreams. She encourages everyone to take the leap of faith to make it happen!
